Watercolor Styles by Nils Crusberg
Nils Crusberg was born and raised in Worcester, MA. He has been working all his life to create various forms of the visual arts. The standard art curriculum that was provided by the local primary school system where Nils grew up did not satisfy his need to produce artistic imagery, but a community program was available in Worcester’s “De Wallen” district, and Nils found private instruction there. When he attended Doherty Memorial High School, Nils managed to consolidate his schedule of required coursework so that the majority of classes that he took in his senior year were art courses.
After graduating from high school, Nils moved to Colorado and studied music at Western State College in Gunnison, CO and political science at the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. He has since lived in: Santa Cruz, CA – Cape Cod, MA – Portsmouth, NH. He remains in the Seacoast Area of New Hampshire where he primarily practices his artistic skills with watercolor. He is known for using a less traditional yet inventive and creative approach to the medium.
